The final stop on our journey to the FHS World was in Miami, Florida, where Florida International University hosted the American semi-finals at their Mary Ann Wolfe Theater from May 21st to 23rd. The main pitching day on May 23rd saw 12 teams from across the Americas vying for a spot in the finals.
The event opened with an stirring speech by Paul, emphasizing the importance of leveraging youth’s impatience for action and not passing our responsibilities to others. This powerful message set the tone for the semi-finals, encouraging participants to be bold and proactive in their pursuits.
The distinguished jury shared valuable insights during the executive Q&A session, providing attendees and students with the opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders and gain valuable knowledge. The American semi-finals were a showcase of creativity and passion, highlighting the incredible potential within the hospitality industry to drive sustainable change.
The semi-finals concluded with a memorable boat ride to a gala dinner and a party, providing participants with a chance to unwind and celebrate their achievements. The atmosphere was filled with joy and celebration, marking a momentous occasion to recognize and applaud everyone’s achievements, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown.
